Wolfgang Puck's CUT restaurant in the Regent Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills
Paragon Steel was contracted to provide unique custom steel fabrication at the newly constructed Wolfgang Puck restaurant CUT and renovated bar SIDEBAR, both located in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, made famous by the movie Pretty Woman. The design firm of Richard Meier & Partners lead by Rick Irving, the design force behind the Getty Museum, spent over two years creating the restaurant's unique aesthetic.
Paragon Steel manufactured and installed an elaborate 140-foot steel light valence accentuated with wood and glass, extending from the far west end of the restaurant, through the main entrance lobby and ending in the far east end of the bar. Paragon Steel also supplied all the bead blasted stainless steel on the hand and foot rails, elevator doors and on the glass enclosures throughout the structure. The painted carbon steel interior and exterior trellis and skylight are strategically integrated into the entire design.
The unique Southern California collaboration, proved to be "a CUT above" as it was welcomed by several of the nation's A-list celebrities and icons, including ex-presidents, Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr. at the restaurant's opening in June.
